Interesting facts:

Reishi, also known as Ganoderma lucidum or “Ling Zhi” in traditional Chinese medicine, is a mushroom that grows mainly in Asia, but also in Europe. In German, the mushroom is called “glänzender Lackporling” (shiny lacquer porling). It is highly valued for its impressive appearance and long history in Japanese and Chinese culture. The mushroom has a shiny red cap and usually grows on tree trunks. The mushroom is very rare in nature and was long reserved for the imperial family. Reishi is often depicted in traditional art and literature as a symbol of immortality and good fortune.

In addition to its medicinal significance, reishi also plays a cultural role in many Asian countries. In Japan, China, and Korea, it is a popular motif in works of art, such as paintings and woodcuts, and is revered in legends as a “divine mushroom.”

The use of reishi in the form of teas, tinctures, or dried mushrooms is deeply rooted in the traditions of Far Eastern medicine. Even in the modern world, the mushroom continues to be a symbol of spiritual development and balance.
