Oyster mushrooms can be grown on straw in a plastic bucket – no expensive equipment or prior expertise required. This method is perfect for mushroom cultivation at home or in the garden.
Soak the straw in a tub or barrel for at least 24 hours so it absorbs sufficient moisture.

Place the soaked straw on a clean, disinfected surface to drain. A clean surface significantly reduces the risk of contamination.
Alternately layer 5–10 cm of straw and a thin layer of mushroom spawn until the bucket is full. Pack the straw as tightly as possible. Before layering, knead the mushroom spawn to break it into individual grains for even distribution.
Place the lid on the bucket and set it in a damp, preferably
